Helen & Phil - Lindley Methodist & Hey Green Country Hotel

After meeting at the rehearsal for the wedding the night before, it was great to capture the real thing.  After arriving at Helen's home to capture bridal preparation and having time to do some group shots in her lovely garden, it was off to church to meet up with Phil and the boys.  They were very relaxed and in good spirits along with the guests.  Lindley Methodist church is very nice and vicar was very relaxed and accommodating with regard to the photography during the service, so I managed to get some great shots.  After the service we worked our way over to Hey Green Country Hotel, which has some stunning grounds.  I was helped with the group shots by Alan the Master of Ceremonies who gathered the appropriate guests, I could do with him every week lol.  After the speeches we did the fun shots, jumping, reservoir dogs etc., we managed to get down to the lake, though seeing as Helen had married a fireman an unorthodox method was used for getting down there.  It was well worth it and we got some great shots.  After that we were into the first dance which led to a great party.

Emma & Steven - Norland and Tower House Hotel

I met Emma & Steve last year to discuss their wedding at St.Lukes - Norland and the Tower House Hotel.  Time has sped around pretty quickly and only seemed like 2 minutes since I visited them.  We had done the pre-wedding shoot at Norland in the memorial gardens, so this area was to be used for some of the photographs after the wedding.  Bridal Prep was at Emma's parents and I got to meet Bud the lovely border collie, who is absolutely wonderful, so got some great shots of him.  I met the groom at the Church where it was nicely filling up with guests and family.  After an lovely service and shot in the Gardens, we headed off down to the Tower House.  I had photographed at the Tower House a while back, but since then it is under new management and had been re-furbished (especially the honeymoon suite) to great taste.  We got some great shots in the Honeymoon suite and the grounds.  The dancing started nice and early, by the time I left it was really swinging.

Isla Catherine's Baby Naming

A couple of years ago I was invited to photograph Ewan Baker's Baby Naming Ceremony by his mum Stacey who had been a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed several years ago.  Last week I had the pleasure of photographing the Baby Naming of Isla Catherine at Hollins Hall.  Stacey and her family now live in Wales so they had come up specially to Yorkshire for this event.  Janice the Humanist celebrant was the same one who had done Ewan's so it was nice to catch up with her again also.  The Baby Naming was joyous yet emotional service, with laughs and tears along the way, with a lovely tribute to Catherine (Isla's Nan) who sadly passed away before Isla was born.  After the naming, it was time once again for the playbus, yes I have to get in on that and into the ball pool.  By the end of such a lovely afternoon the sun had come out, shinning especially for Isla.

Sarah & Andrew - St Pauls & Gomersal Park Hotel

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah & Andrew's wedding, which was an rollercoaster or emotion and fun.  First of all I did the bridal preparation at Sarah's which was great fun with the Brides Maid's and the Brides Man.  After I met up with Andrew and his grooms man at the church, while waiting for Sarah to arrive. It was an emotional wedding, with plenty of laughter and tears and a good old sing song.  The wedding breakfast was at Gomersal Park and we were lucky that we were the only event being held at the Hall today, so we had the run of the place.  We had some great shots in the grounds and I really love the shot of what was supposed to be my "von trap moment", where the girls just set of running down the hill, skirts lifted high and barefooted.  We had some lovely moments and hopefully fantastic memories of such a fantastic day.
