Game for a Laugh with Elisha & Jamie

Woodlands Hotel was the venue after a Scottish themed wedding at St.Mary's in Outwood.  This was another venture out as K W Photography/Videography, as a new package.  This was such a fun wedding, everybody was so relaxed on a lovely spring day - the guys were all dressed in Kilts in the O'Neil tartan.  Elisha looked beautiful and radiant, with her gorgeous dress, with beautiful bridesmaid. A piper was stationed outside the church to welcome the guests before the wedding.  Woodlands was a perfect setting, with the weather being perfect.  We got great shots both inside and out, also in the honeymoon suite after the speeches.  The bridal party had great fun and they were very willing to do the unusual as well.  It was a great wedding and I know that Elisha & Jamie were over the moon with the photographs and the video, with lasting memories.

Lucas

This is the first shoot of Lucas this year, at the end of the year he was joined on another shoot by his little brother Nico, however when I photographed Lucus, Nico was still a bump.  I was photographing his Grandma's wedding a little later in the year, so Lynne & Charlie asked if I could photograph their adorable grandson.  He is such a handsome little lad, a little shy but with encouragement from Grandad Charlie with some bubbles we got some great shots - he is such a lovely character and at the wedding again he stole the show.

Beverley & Howard - Tong with cheeky Camper-Van

In the spring lovely Beverley married the very handsome Howard and Howard plus is wedding party arrived at the Holiday Inn - Tong in a fantastic Camper-Van - what an entrance!  The wedding was held at the venue on a lovely spring day - the weather was nearly perfect, there was a French theme and a entertainment with a saxophonist.  Everybody seemed to enjoy them-selves in a very relaxed atmosphere with laughter and fun with all the guests.  We got some great shots of what was a very fantastic day.

Emily & Liam

Earlier last year I had the pleasure to meet Emily & Liam - for their photo-shoot at their home, which was a surprise present for their dad.  I had just got some new backgrounds so was excited about using them.  The candy-pop background seems a firm favourite.  Emily was very confident and was ready to be photographed, but Liam was a little shyer, however once we got going with the help of their mum we got some great shots with both of them.

Owl about this - Fun with Gary with Nicky & Phil

Back in the spring I photographed a lovely wedding as part of the K W Video & Photography package.  So we linked up with our lovely Videographer at the Woodman Inn at Thunderbridge.  Last week we had shot the pre-wedding shoot in the sun-shine with lovely woodland scenes, anyway this was not the case on the wedding day - we dodged showers and heavy rain - but we still got some great shots with the aid of brollies.  One of the highlights of the day was Gary the Owl, he was to fly across the room bearing rings - well he did try to during a rehearsal, but when it came to the wedding he was not to be enticed with the morsel of chicken that by the time Phil moved closer to him he managed to hop onto the glove - it was a hoot (get it).  Anyway after a very emotional service the owls mingled with the guests for great photo opportunities, while Nicky & Phil went for a drive in their wedding car.  After they came back even though the heavens had opened we got great shots down in the hamlet by the bridge.  Then after the wedding breakfast the sun came out and we the group shots we wanted in the sunshine.  It was a fun day with a great couple who had a day to remember with photographs and video to treasure forever.

Natalie and Stuart Andrews - Video

While I was updating the blog - I found this post which I had not posted (not sure why).  Anyway thought I would post and share and what I think was a perfect wedding, with a lovely couple Natalie & Stuart - they got married last year at Lindley and had their reception at Huddersfield Golf Club.  Hope you enjoy the video as much I do.

Superstars 2014

What a busy year we had last year with all-sorts of photo missions.  Babies, toddlers, parties, foto-funki fun, christenings, engagement shoots and of course weddings.  Also we moved premises, so it has been very busy indeed.  Therefore the blog has been a little neglected, so we are going to make amends with some superstars from last year.  We had owls,camper-vans, kilts, tutu's bubbles and lots of fun.  So the following blogs will tell some great stories from last year with all the lovely people that I have met and pleasure to photograph.
