Last year I photographed little Oliver's christening. So was very pleased be asked to photograph James's christening later on this year. So when I met up with James, Gemma and her mum Judith the other week to discuss details they also arranged a photo shoot. So last week with my trusty white background set up in Judith's front room I photographed the 2 boys, Gemma & Lucy. Even though Oliver was more mischievous than last time I photographed him, I still managed to get some great shoots, he even looks like butter would not melt. James was easier as he is only 5 months old and can't escape yet. He seemed to enjoy his time being photographed and was a little star. Cannot wait to meet up with them all again next month.

Alice
A couple of months ago I did a Baby Bump shot for one of my Brides. Now I had the pleasure of photographing Alice who is only 3 weeks old. Poor thing she did not really appreciate being photographed at all and do you blame her. But we managed to get some shots in between feeds and nappy changes. She is a cute and lovely little girl, mum and dad are so proud.

Laura & Chris - Kings Croft - Pontefract
I have known Laura a number of years as I used to work with her. A couple of years ago I did a family shoot with her and Chris's family, this was just before Laura & Chris announced there engagement. So it was nice to catch up with them at Kings Croft in Pontefract for the pre-wedding shoot and discuss their wedding next month. The rain had decided to hold off which was great as King's Croft has some lovely grounds and also access to a field in which corn is growing, which I hope has matured and has not been harvested by the time the wedding comes around. Laura & Chris enjoyed the shoot and we had some fun, they are both now looking forward to their special day and I know I am looking forward to it also.

Ellen & Gary at Alma Inn - Colne
Today I caught up with Ellen & Gary at the beautiful Alma Inn in Colne, which is quite of the beaten track and is lovely ride in the country - food is great there too. The Alma Inn has stunning views over the Valley below and with today's better but dramatic weather was fantastic. Ellen & Gary will be getting married at this venue next month and they are both very excited. I took shots of them getting the best of the backdrop and beautiful cloud detail. They are very relaxed together and easy to work with, so I am really looking forward to seeing them again very soon.

Abigail & Edward - City of Life & Kenwood Hall
A very excited Abigail & Edward got married last week in the heart of Sheffield at the City of Life. After a very rousing and beautiful service with friends and family, we moved a short distance to Kenwood Hall. Kenwood Hall is a beautiful venue with fantastic grounds with a beautiful lake. Abigail & Edward arrived in style in their friends beautiful Bentley, which I got chance to have a ride in when we took some shots at the front gate of the Hall. Afterwards we visited the lake to get some shots down there, with family and the bridal party, then just some romantic shots with Abigail & Edward.

Helen & Phil - Lindley Methodist & Hey Green Country Hotel
After meeting at the rehearsal for the wedding the night before, it was great to capture the real thing. After arriving at Helen's home to capture bridal preparation and having time to do some group shots in her lovely garden, it was off to church to meet up with Phil and the boys. They were very relaxed and in good spirits along with the guests. Lindley Methodist church is very nice and vicar was very relaxed and accommodating with regard to the photography during the service, so I managed to get some great shots. After the service we worked our way over to Hey Green Country Hotel, which has some stunning grounds. I was helped with the group shots by Alan the Master of Ceremonies who gathered the appropriate guests, I could do with him every week lol. After the speeches we did the fun shots, jumping, reservoir dogs etc., we managed to get down to the lake, though seeing as Helen had married a fireman an unorthodox method was used for getting down there. It was well worth it and we got some great shots. After that we were into the first dance which led to a great party.
