A couple of years ago I had the great pleasure of photographing Kirsty & Foxy on their special day, which as at one of my favourite locations "Weddings & Wellies". So it was lovely to catchup with them again to photograph Kirsty's bump. They are going to have a "little boy" - my first, as so far all my Mum's and Tum's had been girls. This little bundle, is not due for a couple of months, but it was a good opportunity to get some great shots. Took my own lipstick this time, though it was good that I had some wet wipes to clean off "24 hour" red gloss of Kirsty's tum. Hopefully, I will get chance to take photographs of the new arrival later on this year.

Bluebells and Butterflies - Fiona & Kev
A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Fiona & Kev on their special day, which meant I travelled to 3 lovely locations - Oulton Hall, Monks Fryston and Woolley Hall. The day started at Oulton, where Fiona and her sister was getting ready. Fiona was wearing red, with a Spanish style 2 piece dress, which had lovely detailing on the bustier. Afterwards I travelled to Monks Fryston to the lovely church where I met up with Kevin, however firstly before we could get into the church the poor vicar had to break in as the lock had slipped, breaking a lovely period door as well. Everybody was congregating at the pub next to the church, enjoying the lovely sunshine. During the service, there was a butterfly wandering about the floor, which seemed to fit with the scene, not sure what happened to it, but someone picked it up before the happy couple and the wedding party walked down the aisle. Then it was drive to Woolley, which is a jewel in the crown, a lovely venue with some fantastic gardens. After a group shot in which guests let off red balloons on the front steps, it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches, which were quite funny and emotional, especially when Kev's mum made an unprompted speech at the end. Later we walked around the gardens, and because of the late spring there was still some lovely blooms out and my fav - bluebells, so we used this too get some great shots. Fiona & Kev had a lovely time with their friends and family, topped off with some great entertainment with the DJ and a magician.

Kirsty & Kris - Fun, Tears and Laughter at Bagden Hall
Kirsty & Kris were originally going to get married last year, but decided to postpone it till this. In the meantime Bagden did a "Grand Design" on the folly so that it could be used for weddings. For me this was special as Kris I had known when he was a Junior player at our local golf club, so I also know his mum and dad, along with his best man plus his mum and dad, oh and one of the ushers. Kirsty's mum was my friend from junior school as well,so it was nice seeing her and her sister again. The day started at Kirsty's sisters for some of the getting ready shots with finishing with dressing at Bagden Hall, which was lovely as I got some great shots of the girls getting ready along with Kirsty & Kris's little girl Evie. Especially with the bridesmaid Kim who was in tears when she saw Kirsty in her dress. The wedding at the Folly was emotional, with Kris's mum in tears before the service had started. We had some fun moments, with jumping shots, the boys with cigars, the "girls" with cigars, also we met some hotel guests who were going out dressed in Caribbean outfits, so we got shots with some borrowed gear. The hotel is lovely, so we got some nice interior as well as exterior shots, in beautiful weather for a change. It was so lovely to catch up with everybody on such a perfect day.

Anne-Marie & James - Spring Time on the Farm
Anne-Marie and James wanted to have their wedding reception on a farm as they are great animal lovers. So the venue "Weddings and Wellies" as a natural choice for their spring wedding. We had done a pre-wedding shoot a few weeks ago on the lane leading up to venue when it was rather wet and chilly after the terrible winter we had just had, showing no signs of warming up. First of all it was a short drive for me to meet up with Anne-Marie at The Black Horse at Clifton, that itself being a lovely venue for weddings, to shoot the pre-wedding shots. Everybody was very relaxed, as was Anne-Marie, though when mum came in to the room and saw Anne-Marie in a bridal gown she was overcome with emotion. After that it was off to the little church in Norithorpe to meet James and his best man (sporting a black eye - sporting accident), the guys were in good spirit and the sun was now shining. When it came to the wedding James looked so proud of his beautiful bride, the service was lovely as always with the lady vicar, who is always such fun to work with. After the service it was down to the farm on the tractor to the party marque which was set out beautifully as always, very personal to the couple, with pictures of their parents weddings on the cake table, which I thought was a lovely touch. Duncan the farmer, always seems to like me getting into the cherry picker so that he can take it too the full height, much to the amusement of the guests, though I am always glad to get back on the ground. We did some lovely shots on the farm, using the field, the lane and found some lambs as well. I always take a picnic hamper and blanket to sit on the bales of hay, but seeming as the children had demolished them we had to put it on the large round one - but still a great shot. I know that Anne-Marie and James enjoyed their day and too their guests it was a great and unique experience.
