Rebecca & Luke - The Pastures at Tong

Rebecca and Luke wanted an element of fun on their special day.  So that is what we got with some great shots, along with some more romantic ones as well.  First of all the day got off to an early start at Rebecca's mums, which was full of bridesmaids all dressed in their special dressing gowns and slippers. It was a very girlie affair indeed, with champagne flowing, there was also fun and laughter. I then met up with the boys at the church in Batley - the vicar was kind enough to let us use the vicarage gardens to do the photographs, so we started with some fun shots with the boys leaping and being generally relaxed.  The church is beautiful inside and after the service we went back in to do some shots at the alter which is absolutely stunning. Afterwards we met up at the venue and got the fun shots in the bag, then we got the romantic ones as well. I know that Rebecca & Luke really enjoyed their day and by the comments I have seen, so did their guests. Just look at the shots below and see what fun we had..............

Andrea & Stuart - Chevin Country Park Hotel

Last week I bobbed over too one of my favourite venues Chevin Country Park Hotel to catch up with Andrea and Stuart, who are getting married there later this month.  They are really looking forward to their wedding at this beautiful venue, with it's fantastic grounds and a lovely lake as a backdrop.  Usually the weddings I have photographed here have been very relaxed in such a wonderful atmosphere.  We had a wander around the lake to capture some shots, having a good laugh along the way. So hopefully the sun will also shine on their wedding day which we are all looking forward too.

Funki Foto Fun with Becky and Luke

On Saturday, we had a fun day at Becky & Luke's Wedding, with some great shots to come later.  After the first dance it was party time and what better to get the ball rolling with  Funki Foto Fun.  Becky told me that her girls loved being photographed and she was not wrong.  They are crazy bunch indeed and did not take any to persuading have a go. In fact it was Becky's idea to do a photobooth so I have her to thank for putting the idea in my head in the first place. Even the children got in on the act, with little Chester who was cute enough for me to give away one of my props, a little toy gun, apparently he was so pleased he took it too bed with him. The FFF was so  funny with some shots that were a little naughty too put on here.  However the masks are a little surreal especially, when you have Mr Bean, Simon Cowell and the Queen in the same shot, spooky..........................

2012 Finalist "The North of England Wedding Awards"

Olympics are well on the way now, with the Brits doing great on home turf.  Anyway I am in a little competition of my own, as I have become a Finalist in the North of Wedding Awards for Outstanding Customer Service, I know that all the Finalists whatever field they are in deserve to be where they are and there are some great names listed.  I am soooooo happy to be a Finalist and that my Brides and Grooms have voted for me, so a big big big thank you too all of you.

I love my photography which I hope you do as well, whether you are just browsing my blog/website or Facebook page for curiosity or you have had  Wedding, Portrait, Event  photographed by me, or even considering me for your next event or special day.  Photography is a tough industry to be in these days with lots of people picking a camera up and saying "I can do that".  But it takes lots of time, commitment and dedication, with image and album design as just a small part of the business along with client visits, pre-wedding shoots, paperwork and not forgetting the actual photography on the day.

I am always striving to improve my photography learn new skills, attending training day, checking and looking into to the latest software, supplying and sourcing excellent products and services to give everybody something special and a day to remember.  I may not win, but I am proud to be a finalist and also I get a car sticker so yippeeeee.

Fun and Laughter at Sarah & Andrew's Wedding - Gomersal Park

Sarah & Andrew have chosen their images for the album.  So I had a great time looking back and enjoying the fun laughter, tears and big knickers, so I thought I would do a little video and share it with you.  Looking forward to designing a great album for such a lovely couple

Laura & Chris - Kings Croft at Pontefract

Laura has been very excited about her wedding since the day she set the date for her and Chris's big day.  She has kept me in the loop with all the events leading up to it.  I knew that Chris was going to come in something special but arriving to the wedding in taxi, but no ordinary taxi (American big yellow taxi) was very special indeed.  Everybody was very relaxed especially the girls in the bridal suite where Laura was getting ready, which gave me opportunity to capture the small details  from the day.  After a lovely service at Kings Croft we got shots in the corn field and in the lovely grounds before  the wedding breakfast.  After the speeches we got some more shots in the gardens before getting ready for the first dance and a little night time photography.  Laura and Chris enjoyed their day as well as their guests who got down to some hard dancing later on that evening.
