Jacqui's 50th Party with "The Idle Elvis"

While I was sunning myself in Spain the other week, Jacqui rang to see if I could photograph her 50th Birthday party, which luckily was the day after my return to old Blighty.  It was going to be a fun do with Jacqui's family and friends, also with the entertainment from "The Idle Elvis", who I have seen before when I was photographing another party last year.  All the ladies love his act and soon got everyone up dancing, the atmosphere was superb, with good food and drink supplied by Heaton Tennis & Squash club.

Sharon & Paul - Holiday Inn

October comes with a heatwave and wow, was it warm.  So on Saturday, we were at the Holiday Inn at Brighouse.  Sharon was quite calm while getting ready with her lovely daughter Nicola and later on little Charlie joined us.  Sharon is the sister of my groom from several years ago, so it was good to catch up with the family again. Sharon wore a very simple and elegant dress, her hair was adorned with white roses.   Paul is quite a character and so was his bestmen and ushers, they all looked very smart in their suites.  The civil ceremony was lovely and we did think Paul was going to cry at first, he did look very nervous, but then nerves were forgotten once he saw Sharon.  Photographs were taken in the courtyard, and because of the lovely weather looked very Mediterranean at times.

A Stately Affair

Isla Mae - Baby Naming at Prego's

I did not met the very cute Isla until her day of her Baby Naming and I only met mum Lindsay and Dad Dean the day before.  The family live in Malaysia and had travelled back to Lindsay's parents in Huddersfield.  So there was a great family get-together at Prego Restaurant in Brighouse, celebrating a special little girl.  There were lots of children there so they got a go at having their face painted as Prego's have a children's area in the main restaurant.  The baby naming was a lovely ceremony in which both Lindsay, Dean and Lindsay's dad spoke from their heart about how special this little girl was.  I got the impression from Lindsay and Dean that the birth of Isla Mae had made their life so perfect.

Stephanie & Nick - Harewood House

This was a very exciting wedding.  Firstly the Bridal suite at the Du-Vin Hotel in Harrogate in a most beautiful room with a fantastic Shower room, which had a lovely glass table which I used for shoe, headdress and bridal bouquet photographs. Stephanie looked stunning in her wedding gown, with a lovely pearl headdress and accessories.  Then off to Harewood House (with a quick look at the penguins).  The wedding took place within the courtyard and was a lovely service, with a very emotional mum.  Afterwards, we had photographs by the steps at the front of the house and the photographs on the terrace/gardens.  Later we went to the lake for shots there and also on the bridge.  The weather was very kind, but a bit breezy at times.  Everybody had a great time and before the first dance, confetti was showered over the confetti as they came into the room.

Pure Weddings Magazine - Autumn Edition

The Autumn addition of Pure Weddings Magazine features a wedding I recently photographed of Emilia & Adam Fletcher.  They were very excited about appearing in the magazine, especially Emilia who has family in Australia & Poland.  I think copies of the magazine will be flying off all over the world.  I will have at least one wedding featured in the next edition so it is very exciting indeed.
